Ｑ）初の正統派演歌での大ヒット曲「雪國」は、どういう風にできた歌なんですか？
那須の温泉に行って大宴会やった時に、酔っ払ってギター持って即興で歌った歌がもとなんですよ。それをポータブルカセットで録音してあたったんですよね。その時の歌詞は、「好きよ～あなた～」じゃなくて、「だめよ～そこは～」って、とても人前で歌えるような歌詞じゃなかったんです（笑）。
